Annual Vancouver Island Golf Tournament
We have supported Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon’s annual Vancouver Island Golf Tournament for the past 30 years and have been their presenting sponsor (under RLC Park Services) for the past 18 years. The Annual Vancouver Island Golf Tournament is an event that brings together local businesses, community members, and golf enthusiasts for a day of sport, camaraderie, and charitable impact. This tournament is more than just a great day on the green; it supports important community initiatives throughout Vancouver Island, helping strengthen the region we call home.
Annual Support for Golf for Kids
For the past 15 years, RLC Park Services has been a proud sponsor of the Golf for Kids fundraiser, an event that raises critical funds for children’s charities across Vancouver Island. Golf for Kids supports organizations like Help Fill a Dream and numerous youth, health, and community-focused programs.
Lighted Truck Parade & Food Drive
RLC Landscaping also participates in the Island Equipment Owners Association (IEOA) Truck Light Parade, a beloved Greater Victoria tradition. This annual holiday convoy features 80+ illuminated commercial trucks winding through the city and surrounding communities, spreading cheer while collecting food for local food banks. We love taking part in this magical event that brings together families, drivers, and community spirit, all while giving back to those in need.
Other Holiday Parades
At RLC Landscaping, community spirit is at the heart of everything we do, and nothing showcases that spirit quite like Greater Victoria’s beloved holiday parades. Each year, our team proudly participates in the Co-op Santa Claus Parade in downtown Victoria and the festive Sidney Sparkles Parade along the beautiful Sidney waterfront.
These events bring thousands of families together to kick off the holiday season with lights, music, and celebration. Our team loves the opportunity to decorate our vehicles, connect with local residents, and spread a little extra cheer throughout the communities we serve. From dazzling displays to friendly waves along the route, it’s one of our favourite ways to give back and be part of the holiday magic.
We believe every little bit counts. Whether it’s supporting youth-focused initiatives, helping food banks, or backing community-driven events, RLC Landscaping actively seeks partnerships that make a difference. We have contributed to the Salvation Army food bank for the past three years, and also sponsor local sports teams.
Our involvement goes beyond financial support — we also volunteer our time, expertise, and resources to strengthen the communities where we live and work. As a locally rooted business, we see Victoria not just as a place of work; it’s home. Giving back helps build a healthier, more connected community for all of us.
